Desiree Thompson Special Assistant to the President and Director of Presidential Correspondence The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC 20500
Dear Ms. Thompson,
Thank you so much for returning the dollar I sent the president. Turns out I needed it anyway--I didn’t get as much of a tax refund as I expected.
Also, it shows how honest you people are! I can’t get over how you took the time to send me back my dollar when you have so many important things to do. Did President Bush instruct you to do this? He must be as honest as the day is long!
You said Federal law prohibits you from receiving a political donation in any Federal building--is there another address where I can send my President a dollar? Can I send it c/o the pizza man and let him deliver it? Or how about the parking garage? I just think it’s important because he needs it more than ever. Even though he says, “We’re making progress,” the liberal media just won’t leave him alone! They keep carping about how he can’t find this and he can’t find that and he exaggerated the truth and somebody leaked--and have you seen that rumor going around the internet about his IQ? I’m worried he’s going to end up just like his dad. So please--I want him to have my dollar. Tell me where I can send it.
Also, did President Bush touch the dollar I sent him? If he did, I would like to frame it and send him a different dollar.
Sincerely, Carl Estrada
