I’m tired of people comparing America to Nazi Germany just because we make secret arrests, hold prisoners for years without trials, and torture them! The Nazis weren’t the only ones who committed atrocities. Communist Russia did too. So did the Taliban.
So did the Spanish Inquisition.
To all you liberals who want to coddle the terrorists, I say this: Thanks to the Republicans, we finally have a detainee bill that makes Republicans safe!
The bill says My President can define anyone who supports hostilities against the United States as an “unlawful combatant.” Now, we can now arrest unlawful combatants for an indefinite amount of time, and obtain evidence without a search warrant.
United States Constitution, 1787 to 2006.
Once an unlawful combatant is arrested, he or she must be treated humanely. My President may not authorize torture that inflicts “severe pain.” He may only approve “alternative interrogation techniques” that inflict “serious pain.”
Geneva Convention, 1949 to 2006.
Once the prisoner has confessed to whatever his interrogators want to know, he no longer has the right to examine the evidence against him. The Republicans, in their foresight, understood that if a suspect knew what he was being charged with, he might prove himself innocent!
Magna Carta, 1215 to 2006.
Elections are around the corner! Vote Republican and support My President’s Constitutional right to be a war criminal!
I’m Carl Estrada and that’s my point!
