Dear Mr. Myerson,
Well, it’s after August 15 and I was hoping to hear from you by now about whether I have been selected as the Green Party’s Operation Manager.
Just in case you haven’t decided yet, I’ve had a stroke of genius which should convince you that I’m the perfect choice for the job. Who do you think we should run as the 2004 Green Party Presidential Candidate? Hold on to your seat:
Al Gore! Did you hear his speech to MoveOn members last week? Boy! Did he knock it out of the park! And I don’t know if you’ve read his book, “Earth in Balance,” but I’ve got to say--it blows Ralph right out of the water! Also, he’s got a better sense of humor than Ralph (which is kindof like saying Moe was the smartest of the Three Stooges--but it’s something). Also, he’s not running for the Demos this year, so he’s available. Sometimes you miss the obvious answers because they’re right under your nose!
