Dear Mr. President,

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to receive all those pictures of the “fam” that you sent me! My favorites were the pictures of your dogs, Spot Bush and Barney Bush. What a coincidence--you’re a dog lover and so am I! What’s the name of the dog in the picture with Vice President Cheney? Is that his dog?

India “Willie” Bush is a pretty cat, too. It says her favorite book is If You Take a Mouse to the Movies. Do you read it to her? And that picture of Air Force One flying over Mt. Rushmore--now that’s impressive! I think I can see you waving out the window. Do they ever let you fly the plane?

To return the favor, I’ve enclosed a couple pictures of the Estrada pets. My dog is named Sam Estrada. His favorite hobby is to fetch. His second favorite hobby is to fetch. When he’s done fetching, he likes to fetch. You get the idea. We have two cats--the tiger stripe on the right of the picture is also named Sam Estrada. It’s easy to call Sam (dog) and Sam (cat) because we use a different tone of voice. The grey cat on the left is Samantha Estrada. My wife and I just couldn’t think of a good name!

Have you figured out who set you up on the State of the Union speech yet? I think it’s a little bit fishy that Ari Fleischer would be quitting right when things are starting to heat up. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
