Dear Ms. Whitman,
I’m reeling! I just heard the news that you are resigning as head of the EPA! And one day after I received your gracious letter in the mail. I hope my letter didn’t have anything to do with your resignation. (?)
You were one of my favorite “Power Players.” I designed a pack of “Power Player Playing Cards” that I suggested to Karl Rove for use in raising money for the Iraqi reconstruction. You were the 9 of Hearts. That’s pretty high!
It was very kind of you to provide me with all those web sites. I had planned to do my homework and get back to you with my findings--I will still research those questions, but it won’t feel the same, knowing that I won’t have you to report back to. By the way, I’m using a friend’s computer. I won’t go to the Waldport Public Library--I worry a lot about germs.
Now that you are going to be a private citizen, maybe you are at liberty to tell the truth (just between you and me): Is there such a thing as global warming?
