Donald H. Rumsfeld
Secretary of Defense
1000 Defense Pentagon
Washington, DC 20301-1000
Dear Secretary Rumsfeld,
Did you hear what your deputy said? Wolfowitz said that the real reason you attacked Iraq was because you wanted to withdraw your bases from Saudi Arabia! He said you told us the weapons of mass destruction story for “bureaucratic reasons!” Did you know that? Boy, I’d hate to be in the briefing room when Powell finds out!
If Wolfowitz did this on his own, then we’ve got a loose cannon on our hands. But I think you knew, too. And if you did, I’ll tell you the same thing I told Wolfowitz. Don’t lie to us, sir. We’re Americans! We can take it. Next time you want to go to war, don’t even tell us why. Just tell us where and we’ll go! (Actually, I won’t cause I’m too old--but our kids will!)
Just give us the truth.
God Bless America!
Support Our Troops (Give them a raise)!
Sincerely,
Carl Estrada
