Senator Trent Lott 487 Russell Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510
Dear Senator Former House Majority Leader Lott:
You were right after all! Strom Thurmond wasn’t a racist! He didn’t discriminate one bit! He fathered children with white women and black women! He was a generous and responsible father too. After his African-American maid gave birth to Essie Mae, he even gave his daughter money sometimes when she got older, and once he even loaned her $75!
Remember when the northern liberals fired you as Majority Leader for saying you were proud of voting for Strom Thurmond for President and “if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years"--remember that? I know what “problems” you were talking about, and I can sum them up in one word:
Clinton!
Remember when you impeached Clinton? Those were the “salad days.” You and Strom stood shoulder to shoulder fighting for our American way of life, protecting our nation from the Evil Clinton who not only had sex with an intern but he lied about it too! I don’t think our country has recovered from the shock, and if you ask me, that’s probably why we had 9-11. That and Saddam Hussein.
I just want to say that history has vindicated you, Senator Lott! All you have to do is compare Strom’s record with Clinton’s, and then ask yourself, “Who’s the racist?” Strom was married to a white woman but he had “relations” with lots of African-American maids. He fathered a black child and he helped her out sometimes. On the other hand, the Clinton women--Monica and Paula and Jennifer--were all white. If Clinton had gotten his African-American maid pregnant, I think Ken Starr would have let us know.
So, I ask again, “Who’s the racist?” Strom was an Equal Opportunity Adulterer and Child-Breeder, which is why he was so outraged at Bill’s “Exclusive White Girls’ Club.” It’s time we all stood up for this great American and cleared his name! Then you can be Majority Leader again, and then maybe we won’t have all these problems we’ve been having all these years!
Sincerely, Carl Estrada
