General Wesley Clark
America for Clark
P.O. Box 2959
Little Rock, AR 72209
Dear General Clark,
I want to be the first to congratulate you on entering the race. I wish you the best of luck.
Don’t get me wrong--I’m still voting for President Bush. I’m a true Patriot, and it would be unpatriotic to vote against my President, don’t you think? Right or wrong, I stand behind my President.
But still, I have to say I’m impressed. For one thing, I’m always telling President Bush to straighten out his American flag lapel pin, but he hardly ever listens to me. I’ve noticed that you have rows and rows of medals on your chest, and they’re always perfectly straight and shiny and heroic looking.
Also, I’ve noticed you speak a little bit better than he does. I know that’s no reason to judge a president--some people just have a gift for gab more than others. I know President Bush is intelligent but not articulate--but I’ve noticed that you’re intelligent and articulate. Just an observation.
A lot of people think it’s un-American to criticize our President. He’s the President, and if he wants to go to war, that’s his right! But I noticed that you’re a four-star general, and you criticized him. I don’t get it, because with your war record and your rank, I know you’re a True American. I thought anyone who criticized our President was giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and should end up at Guantanamo Bay. But I don’t think they’d put you in Guantanamo Bay.
Life gets confusing sometimes. I just think I should be loyal to my President, don’t you?
Sincerely,
Carl Estrada
